Thread Wins Platinum MarCom Award for Toledo Jeep Fest

Thread Marketing Group’s ongoing efforts with Toledo Jeep Fest has produced another honor – the distinguished 2021 Platinum MarCom Award by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). Thread Marketing also won the 2019 Silver Anvil Award for its work on Toledo Jeep Fest.

Thread Marketing is in the process of producing its fifth Toledo Jeep Fest in 2022 and is delighted to have received this award in honor of the annual community event that celebrates Toledo as the HOME of the Jeep. Thread Marketing produced the inaugural Toledo Jeep Fest in 2016. MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals.

The Platinum MarCom award is the most prestigious award offered by MarCom Awards, representing only 17% percent of over 300,000 submissions received. MarCom Award winners are recognized for their excellence in terms of quality, creativity, and resourcefulness.

International Competition

Since 2004, MarCom has evolved into one of the largest, most respected creative competitions in the world. MarCom is administered by AMCP, which consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, digital and web professionals.

The 2021 award received entries from the United States, Canada and 39 other countries. Winners are selected from over 300 categories in Print, Web, Video, and Strategic Communications. Award winners range from huge international creative agencies and Fortune 500 companies to individual creative professionals.

“We are thrilled to see a locally owned marketing firm like Thread receive such a prestigious award for the hard work they did for Toledo Jeep Fest,” Lucas County Commissioner, Pete Gerken said.

Toledo Jeep Fest Results

With Thread Marketing’s help in 2021, Toledo Jeep Fest brought over 65,000 attendees to the region, including Jeep enthusiasts from 37 states, the District of Columbia, Canada and Mexico. The estimated economic impact was $5.1 million and more than 350 volunteers helped run the nationally recognized event. The 2022 Toledo Jeep Fest will feature a Jeep Base Camp hosted by Middlegrounds Metropark, the first annual All-Jeep Parade viewing party, a spectacular Vendor Midway and more.

“We love seeing all of our hard work pay off,” said Judy McFarland, Thread Marketing Group’s Chief Executive Offer and President. “Receiving this award is such an honor and we thank our contributors, sponsors and those who support our work with Toledo Jeep Fest for providing us with the opportunity to put on such a large-scale event each year.”
